There are not anymore a lot places in Poland like Stary Młyn in Łupawa. (Stary Młyn means old Mill). Buliding and machinery inside remained intact during all-demolition run in 1945 performed by Red Army. However Soviets considered this area as not-soviet's after the war there are not much damages to the building and village of Łupawa. Place earned its name during years when was used as a one-night stop for kayak trips starting about 1 day upstream from Stary Młyn. Experienced canoeists proceeding downstream from Kozin used to dream all day about famous schabowy (pork cutlet), pstrag smażony (fried trout) or pierogi z jagodami (wild berries filled dumplings) served by local cuisine master - Czarna Anita (Black Anita - this is very mysterious as nobody seen her hair, and there are some rumors that she is blonde). Anyway - food served is good, you can also ask for breakfast. There are only few rooms available there (1 for 10 persons (with fireplace) and 2 for 4 persons each) - if you want to sleep here be sure to call and make reservation in advance. There are still old machineries here (some dated 1902) in very good condition (not used at present) that you can have a look at. Very unique design of interior is not an effect of professional designer. It is done by owners. You will not believe until you see it! In short: \UNFORGETTABLE PLACE

Fantastic atmosphere, intriguing buildings, and tranquil surroundings. We stayed here in July, four months ago and I still think about this place. The black currant pierogi were sensational.

Several places prepared for an evening bonfire in the resort. If necessary, 2 mini-supermarkets approx. 1 km away. The place is near the forest by the river, there is practically no car traffic. The hosts very friendly and understanding. (Original) Dobre miejsce na odpoczynek z dala od miasta. Świetne schabowe i pierogi robione na miejscu. Mieszkanie na piętrze wystarczające dla średniej rodziny, nalezy pamiętać że to agroturystyka, a nie hotel ;) czasem pająk na ścianie, a rano pianie koguta gwarantowane :) Blisko na ryby, grzyby, kajaki. Kilka miejsc przygotowanych na wieczorne ognisko na terenie ośrodka. W razie potrzeby 2 mini-markety w odleglosci okolo 1km. Miejsce leży pod lasem przy rzece, ruch samochodow praktycznie żaden. Gospodarze bardzo przyjaźni i wyrozumiali.
